Unfortunately, that's the entire general public. Go watch some cult-classics or read some books. So you can implement the shadow archetype, highlight the corruption of society, and have a character develop into a synthesis while providing explosions and violence for the simple minded... Much more impressive and thought-provoking things have happened. I wish the majority could be more intelligent and actually think critically. Go open your mind up to the truly amazing stories out there that lie dormant and tragically under-appreciated. Only people who are inexperienced in the realm of good stories find the movie amazing. But most movies are when they have a lot of big actors in it, trying to drag people in. I liked Heath Ledger's Joker, I thought it was great! But so was Jack Nichelson's one. Batman Begin's was awesome! But I thought The Dark Knight was too, that's my opinion. What I liked about it was because of how dark it was. It was so different than Batman Begin's, it just seemed so more serious. And I liked that about the movie. I liked how dark the Joker was, I liked how Batman was dark himself sometimes during the film. When he was Bruce, he seemed more lighter, and the whole voice thing was strange but if he had the same voice wouldn't everyone close to him, take a guess of who he was. I liked it and I'm sticking to my opinion. xD Might not be right, but hey. It's how I saw the movie. I liked it.
